Should have seen this coming

I got 3 calls today. All 3 were mad about this election. All of them were bringing up the Impeachment of Obama. IMPEACHMENT? Hell the guy doesn't even start for over 2 months. Even the news pundits are calling for Obama to resign. We just went through 8 years of Democrats demanding the Impeachment of Bush, are we now going to go through 4-8 years of Impeach Obama demands? No wonder I hate politics so much. I told all of these morons to look closely at the Congressional races because that is where any change will take place if any change ever will. Congress can overrule anything a President does, so that is where the power really lays. Even an Executive order can be overruled by Congress. Now if a congressman or senator does not have the stones to right a wrong, then throw the bum out. That's all those people understand. Makes a person really optimistic on the future. NOT

Obama won so lets get over it and move ahead and fix this mess we are in.

I had a hard choice when it came for President. I lean towards fiscal conservative when it comes to financial issues, and a moderate to liberal leanings when it comes to social issues. As with other elections, I did not see a great deal of difference between the two candidates. This still places me in the position that I am not welcome on either side of the political spectrum. I am too liberal for the Republicans, and too conservative for the Democrats. I feel a little like Joe Leiberman must feel right now. He was a life long Democrat that went Independent and chose to support his friend John McCain. Now look at him. The Democrats don't trust him anymore, and the Republicans don't trust him unless he denounces all of his democratic leanings. Welcome to my world Joe. Now you see how I and many others feel. I voted for Obama because I felt he was closer to the socioeconomic views I hold. People tried to convince me he was everything from an Islamic terrorist, to a Communist/Socialist and they even tried to convince me he was not even and American citizen. Don't ya think Hillary and the Clinton Machine would have uncovered that little tidbit before now? I could not vote for the Whack-Job Al Gore in 2000 because of his all out hatred for the Internal combustion engine, and I could not vote for the turn coat snitch John Kerry in 2004, but the Democrats finally ran someone I could somewhat relate to. Do I think either candidate would have a chance to fulfill any or most of their promises? Hell no! Do I think this election sent a clear message to the republicans? I sure hope so because we need a balance of power and not petty bickering. The sooner both sides stop this insane kindergarten bickering, the sooner we can get this country back on track.
